Hey Fellas, other that fully disassembling the power head and clean out water passages, whats a good way to clean out salt water crud?
I was told that you can put 2 boxes of baking soda in a barrel of water , stick the motor in and run it for an hour or so and that would clean it internally. Did I get handed a load of BS ?

Never heard the baking soda thing, and I don't think i would do that to my motor personally.

What I would say is run it for about 10 to 15 minutes on a hose or in a fresh water lake (still on the trailer on the ramp if you like). Do this after every running in salt water, never let it sit after a salt water trip.

Thanks, I never heard of Salt Away. I looked it up and it had some very good reviews. Gonna have to try it .
