Yes, the engine is higher in relation to the boat but not in relation to the water so the drag is going to be the same. If you raise the engine higher than the point where the cavitation plate is flush with the water, you start having cavitation issues and that's the same whether the motor is close to the boat or back from the transom 6".Charger25 said:IMHO, the more set back, the higher you can raise the engine, meaning the less drag you will have.
