I am so lucky. The linkage you see in the pic is of a 1963 Johnson 18hp. I (broke) the plastic tip off when placing it on the linkage @ the motor.
Question: do I have to replace the (whole) cable? it seems like I do however its a new problem for me.
I am glad it did not happen out on the lake somewhere.
