Do you have to have the attachment for fuel inlet on the motor? I bought a 7.5 ev and the fuel line runs straight from the fuel tank to the fuel pump, my motor runs only in choked position. It looks like a new carb, i unplug the fuel hose from carb and no fuel is being pumped? Is fuel constantly supposed to pumped to carb? Bad fuel pump or or am i supposed to have attachment at motor for the gas ta.k to plug in?

Sounds like you're on the right track with fuel pump suspicion.
Running hose directly to the fuel pump shouldn't be a problem. And yes, fuel should flow while the engine is running. Try squeezing the primer bulb while the engine is running. If fuel flows, the fuel pump is likely the problem.

edit: Also, be sure to check the gasket behind the fuel pump for leaks.

Roger that... i did exactly what you said. The motor runs on choke, but no fuel from the fuel pump hose to carb while running... but still runs, when i squeeze the bulb gas comes out. Still only runs in choke, carb looks fairly new
