What motor is this?

So i picked up a boat this past Friday and it came with a motor. The owner said it was a 5.5 but could not tell me anything else about the motor. The hood is missing as well. I myself know nothing about motors lol so i was wondering if anyone could tell me what motor this is and any info about it. I do know its a 50:1 fuel mixture.Thanks! Heres a few pics of it:

Looks like a 1960 or 61' Johnson, there should be numbers on transom bracket or block that will help us pin it down but I am fairly certain it is a 60' or 61'

I am pretty sure it is 24:1 mix, maybe pappy will chime in here and correct us both though lol he is good with those older motors

You very well could be right. I know Mercury's that year were 16:1.

24:1 looks like. Thats what all of my old Johnsons run.
