Minn Kota Powerdrive 40 install

Does anyone have any photos on how they installed their Minn Kota PD40?

I picked one up on Craigslist for a good deal but know nothing about how to install it. Seems like the front is going to need to stick over the boat which means I will need to put it on a platform. Is that the case?

You need 1 inch of clearance from the gunnel to the shaft when the motor is down. So yes, it will hang over quite a bit.

If you have room use a quick release mount. Makes taking it on and off real easy.
