Mercury 4.5hp year? And cleaning fuel lines?

Just picked this up, anybody have an idea of year? I can get more pics if needed. Serial # 5809982 if I remember correctly. Thanks in advance.

Also the fuel lines are visibly gunked up/tarnished/dirty, how should I go about cleaning them? Or should I just replace it?

I would replace the fuel line !

The motor is a 1980 or 1981. All the charts I know of have those two years worth of serial numbers grouped together for some reason. This parts lookup service brings it up as a 1980 if you key in your serial #.
