I have a 1994 Johnson 50/35 jet that I'm trying to figure out what controls to get for it. I know I need the ones that are pre '95 and have the red wire harness plug. They aren't to hard to come by on Ebay, but I'd like to get a flush or "hidden" mount control box. All the ones I see are '95 and later models. Can I make a later model control box work with my motor? I know the wiring harness would be an issue, but is there some sort of adapter I can get? What about cables? Is there a difference between pre '95 and post '95 model year cables? Thanks!!
