I have a 1974 20hp Mercury that runs great. Only issue is that it wont stay in neutral when I go from Forward or reverse at idle. It is also hard to find neutral when starting and about the only way I have found to do so is to lift the motor while pulling the rope. It seems to me this should be an easy fix but I do not know how to adjust the shifter. Any ideas?
