I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be possible to add power tilt/trim to my outboard. Did this motor come with power tilt/trim as an option? I know there are aftermarket units available to add, but was hoping I could get one and the controls for it from a parts motor and install it. Has anyone done this?
 
They're 2 styles of tilt and trims for these motors. the newer style are called fast tracs. You would have to replace the whole titl and trim bracket to use them . Think they started using them around early 90's I know the 89 and older motors use the same internal tilt and trims. You'd just need to bolt in on and wire in a set of relays and a trim switch. wouldn't be a hard swap if you had a parts motor.
