What kind of fuel economy are y'all getting out of your outboards? I have a 1236 Alumacraft with pods and a 88 15hp evinrude. I haven't calculated the fuel economy yet but was wondering about how far I could go on 3 gallons at WOT (6250rpm 22.2mph) ? Anyone want to make an educated guess?

In theory you should get about 40 miles. This is based on an approx fuel burn of 1.65gph. (11% of the HP)

15hp using 1.65gph would go for approx 1.818 hours at WOT.

22.2 mph for 1.818 hrs would be 40.36 miles

War Eagle 548LDV with a 2000 model Yamaha F25 (four stroke 25 hp). 12.7 mpg at cruise. WOT continually about 10-ish. GPH 1.6 at cruise and about 2.1-2.3 wide open continually. I do have a 3 gal tank and never have run it even low on fuel. It just doesn't use much fuel at all and I usually don't need to go very far anyway. I could get away with a 1 gal tank and be fine most of the time.
