I have a 1956 Johnson 10 hp I took apart to check the water impeller.
After I got it back together my gears were all screwed up.
When I pull the starter rope:
The handle pulled forward to me--the prop is in neutral.
In the middle position--its in reverse
Full back from me---its is reverse too.
What did I do wrong?
