Ok, I've got an Evinrude 4 HP Deluxe, model E4RDHETB, and have a question. Is there a thermostat on this engine? It's on a 14' v-hull. I want to do a 3 day trip out of Flamingo with it, and hopefully, won't have any surprises. I changed the plugs, lower unit oil, and she runs pretty good. What else to do? Planning to camp on Middle Cape, and fish, and drink beer, for 3 days. Suggestions? Hoping, at least, not to have to be rescued...

No, it does not appear your motor has a thermostat. Someone mentioned to change the impeller, that sounds like good advice, if has not been done in the past several years.

Make sure you run that motor on 50:1 fuel oil mix.

Here is a parts diagram for your motor.

Here is a link to service manual for your motor.
