HELP ! 30 HP Niaasn Help !

So i Really need some help !

this is my 1992 30HP Nissan outboard ( NS30A3 )

As many of you my Boat and Fishing is my life so im kind of freaking out a bit here

i just need help i cant find any parts at all. I dont think i need a whole new lower unit but if i have to get one i will and even if i do i still need to get the other part that holds the prop on as well

the crack in the lower unit should not effect things to much its not supper bad but how it will hod up cuz i Fish A LOT !

id go for the whole lower that one looks bad . I sure wouldn't trust it . you could be in the middle of nowhere and all the parts fall out !

you can try a welding shop but i dont think there is much they can do with that. boats.net has all the internals for it. but i would try to find a complete lower. cheaper in the long run i think.

Please if anyone has any leads or know anyone or anyplace that might have some parts please let me know

is it a long or short shaft

you gotta get into google type the part #, tohatsu 25/30 Nissan/ all fit, tohatsu new available from dealer ...... at a cost ,some Mercury/tohatsu out of usa fit as well , it sucks ,but if you look you can find parts .....need = motivation

by the way tohatsu parts are cheaper. I am running lower unit parts from tohatsu in my mercury.

i know that the tohatsu parts fit but i didnt not know the Mercury would fit

Completely agree with the rest.. that LU is toast. Theres several bone yards that will mail you a lu..

The real question: How did you smash that one so bad?

didnt smash it at all live up here in NH and i guess that was some water in the oil that i missed and at -15 nights did not do any good


so it looks like i am screwed i can re-build it my self but the parts are absolute and i cant find them anywhere i have contacted a ton of different salvage yards and dealers and know one has been able to help me

So update for my motor trouble i have found a 1978 Evinrude 35853r 35 HP for $400 witch it way less than the $1300 the lower unit that i need for the Nissan, what do you all think?

Evinrude needs cleaned up, spark plugs, and new wiring and a tiller handle kit



any help on parts ect thx !
