I'm just now in the market for an outboard and I've learned a lot from reading all the helpful posts in this forum. However, I am new to outboards and when I buy something this expensive I like to know about how it works as well as diagnosing and fixing common problems. Like with firearms I read up quite a lot on the subject and can do some basic repairs. Are there any good books out there that help with fixing issues in both older and newer model outboards just to have on hand in case something were to ever happen? Preferably small outboards like 25hp and smaller.
