You were close but it is even better than that in one respect.
What he bought out was the old OMC carb lab parts in the Waukegan Engineering plant right by the old Test facility.
Most of those parts are to custom build carbs and VRO and OMS pumps which are a thing of the past in Waukegan now.
Looked at the number of jets and needles in the bins then found carb shaft return springs etc. No dealer keeps that kind of volume in stock.
Recognized some of the parts bins after reading the location.
