honda 40hp

Went fishing with a buddy of mine on monday, caught a few crappie before the weather turned to "sheet", in any case he had a new honda 40 on his 1988 17ft tracker, it worked out very well. Idled perfect, started perfect and put it up on plane pretty easy even with our big asses in it. What I would expect although I was wondering if the hp was enough. He is very pleased. Just thought I would give a good motor report for once.

Honda makes a good outboard, and just a little trivia, they have never manufactured a 2 stroke. They have been making outboards since the 60's or so (maybe a little before) and they have all been 4 strokes.
