Tohatsu 25 to 30hp conversion issues.

I decided to convert it since I needed to clean the carburetor anyway and surprise.....it was already done, kinda.

The restrictor plate was not there but the timing was stil at 25°, so I set it at the 30° mark and it ran like crap. Went back to 25°.Ran good.

What gives?

I've got the same engine. Your timing is right at 25 for the 30hp.

are all tohatsu motor hard to understand. If I would have known about the issue's I'd had stayed with my 2 stroke johnson anyone want a 4 stroke 9.8?? 2014
