Hi all,
I recently acquired a 14ft semi-V MonArk fishing boat. I stumbled upon this forum, and have been lurking around, looking for ideas for a possible floor. I am not sure what I would have done without this forum as the transom needed replaced and this forum really helped.
Anyway, my in-law had an old Chrysler 6 hp outboard that has been stored in her garage for years. I am unable to get it running, tried new plugs, fresh gas mix, and new primer bulb. From what I have read, I believe that the carburetor will need rebuilt and cleaned. My issue is that every instructional video I have watched they have easily removed the carb. There is simply not enough room in the motor/housing to get a wrench on the carb bolts so that I can remove it.
Please let me know if you have any ideas on how I could get this carb pulled, and any tips/tricks that I could possibly use.
I can post pictures when I get back out into my shed.
thanks,
