Thinking of buying a used one, just don't know if I really need one.
Actually I know I don't really "need"one as my boat handles okay...would be nice to lower the motor in turns and trim it abit to stop the slow porpoising.
A couple more questions I have...
Seeing that the unit will set me back 4-5 inches,meaning more weight in the stern.
Do people that use them have to move weight forward or does the trim/tilt solve this issue?
Where do people mount the trim switch?
I have a 30hp tiller, do people have to use tiller extensions after?
It seems like I'm talking myself out of buying but I'd really like to try the tilt/trim, to see how much it might improve the way this boat handles.

Boat = C1652V ; 360lbs ; 6* dead rise , with jet tunnel hull
Motor = 1987 , 30hp Mariner guessing around 130 lbs.
Myself/gear/etc.. = 350/400lbs
With a 10.5"prop = 27-28 mph ...5400-5500 rpm...over rpm but is the tiny tach right?...haven't killed it yet.
I have a 13" prop as well but I find the smaller one makes the boat respond better,maybe the cmc will make the rpms good and good preformance..?
Motor will blow out in fast corners due to me having the motor so high and like I mentioned earlier ...porpoises at WOT.
Just looking for some pros/cons from people who use them on smaller boats.

Thanks
