New outboard owner..... Need some help

Hello, I just bought a johnson 1955 qd-16 and I have a couple of questions!
1. Does anybody on here have an owners and or a service manual they would like to sell?
2. Where is a good place to find parts for said motor?
3. The motor runs great but I may have a problem with the cooling system. I have been around engines all of my life just not boat engines. So I am really worried of screwing something up. I have watched videos and they all show a mist of water coming from the exhaust. Mine doesn't do this. So the questions are, does it only blow the water after it warms up? If not what could be the problem?

As far as your cooling issue - does the motor have a pee ? Not real familiar with those motors but I know some of teh guys here can help

Very simple motor to work on, and really cool looking.

You need to drop the lower and change the impeller. It should shoot water out as soon as it starts.

I'll send you a link to some service stuff as soon as I get it uploaded.

Ebay is a good place for parts.

If there is something out of the ordinary you need give Dan a jingle.

thank you so much! I have been reading so much that my eyes are crossing. I was kinda worried that I had bought a bad motor, but I am changing my mind now.
