I am not sure if this should be here in Motors or in Electrical. I recently acquired a 1975 Evinrude Electric Start outboard. When the motor was made, they did not include a kill switch, which I would like to add. My ignition and choke switch are mounted in a detached box that will be mounted in a convenient place near the operating position. Can I put a switch in the Positive lead to the ignition switch with an arrangement that opens the circuit to the ignition if I should be thrown from the boat?

That is the one I will try to find locally. If I can't I will order it from Del City. It can be wired to ignition or magneto type motors.
Thanks
