I have a 2005 Mercury 4 stroke bigfoot, when I go to start it dies and won't idle, have drained the carburetor numerous times and did get some water out of it, ran perfect for 1 minute and now won't idle. Any ideas of what to do. Thanks

Does the fuel line bulb stay hard or go soft quickly? Check all the fuel lines/bulb, etc, and connections. Might have a air leak, or the fuel pump is not working very well. Checked the fuel filter lately??

make sure your fuel line is ethanol friendly. I think the lines with orange print on them start to melt on the inside.

You might also check to see if there is any water in the fuel tank that's making it to the carb.
