Pre-1998 Mercury fuel disconnect

Hello...I can't for the life of me find one of these. I have a portable tank that I want to use with my 1990 Merc 9.9, and I need the quick disconnect that plugs onto the motor. It's a female connection. Everyone I see is 1998 and newer. I logged on all the manufacturers websites like Attwood, Moller, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx. Joe.

I live in NJ...our Wal-Mart's are not the outdoor super stores they are elsewhere. I'm always jealous when guys post about the great ammo deals they get :-(

That said, I'll check it out tomorrow.

BTW...I went to two different marine places that service boats and such and neither of them had one.

They sell these at Academy Sports in Georgia. Do you have Academy Sports in NJ?

Pre 1998?? I thought the fitting change was back in the 80s....like 1986. Some of the Mercury fuel systems used a different fitting for the tank-end of the fuel line. What exactly is your engine model number?
