evinrude

I need some help guys I have a 1990 evinrude 2 stroke 8hp it was running fine then started cutting off and getting harder to start so I put a fuel pump kit in it and it didn't fix the problem so then I put a carb kit in and a new fuel line because the old one looked dry rotted started it up and it ran perfect revved it up did great and it would idle fine shut it off and started first crank ran great for about 5 minutes then it just shut off I started it again then it started missing I just cant figure it out any ideas?
