mercury 15 elh on 1448

How well would A new mercury 15elh push a lowe 1448mt jon . THANKS TO ALL

Not nearly as well as a 25 would, but still will move it just fine, especially if it's a lightly loaded rig. I ran an older 1448 with a Tohatsu 20 for a while and was impressed with the boat. The motor not so much, but it moved it about 23 mph with just me. Right around 18 with both of us. It did fine, and I suspect that the 15 won't be a lot different. Little slow to plane and that was my only complaint but keep in mind I'm used to my boat which is a 25 on a 1548.

Is the 1448 a longshaft(20") transom? The 15ELH is a longshaft.
