Would also be interested in a bow mount system like the X3, if anyone has any experience with a bow mount on a jon boat! I'm putting a 5 foot casting deck on the front so I should have enough room for the mounting bracket and foot pedal.

If you do a bow mount TM on a jon boat ,I recommend that you put some type of rudder on the rear. It will keep the boat from pivoting on its own axis , also it will help to keep from going diagonal if the wind is blowing.
