This motor is available with a 1500 dollar price tag. Supposedly has less than ten hours on it and just had it serviced where the carb was rebuilt. Motor looks to be in good shape. Looking at NADA prices, it should go for around 1200. The guy is not budging on price. Any thoughts if you think this is a good deal or should I keep looking?
 
I bought a 2009 Mercury 9.9 4 stroke (Bigfoot model) with 10 hours on it in May 2013 for $1500.

Absolutely hated that motor. Spent all summer trying to work the bugs out and finally gave up at the end of the year. Bought a different motor before it hit the water last year.
 
Biggest problem was the throttle sticking when the engine got warm. Couldn't figure out what was causing it. Talk about making your butthole pucker when you're headed for another boat, dock, or shore and the boat won't slow down. Had to kill the motor on several occasions.
