Nissan NS40C getting it going

Working on an older Nissan ns40c just got a new ignition pack and ready to get gas to it and give it a try. I have a question that surely someone here will know. What size of fuel line should I use? 1/4 inch to me would seem too small, but would 3/8 may be overkill. The only literature I can find does not mention size. I am waiting on a service manual that I am getting but in the mean time would like to piece together a fuel line and it be the correct size. Thanks ahead of time for any responses

Most fuel line connectors are 3/8"

thanks . I was going to go with that but was unsure and was questioning my choice. So I figured I would ask people with more experience than myself.
