Does anyone know what size the factory recommended fuel hose for a 89 Yamaha 25hp 2 stroke is? My primer bulb went TU and when looking at replacing it I discovered the one on it is only 1/4 inch. I can order a replacement but was wondering if I might be better off buying a whole new 3/8 inch fuel line. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have a 1979 Johnson 25hp and have switched out the connectors and squeeze bulb a few times
in the past. The OMC connectors come in 1/4" (5/16"?) and 3/8" but I have not found any
fuel flow differences in either of them if switched around.
It just makes sense (to me) that the more horse power you have, the bigger the fuel line should be.
You just have to use the same size hose fittings from the tank to the motor.

They came factory with 3/8 hose. Almost all of the Yamaha's do, IIRC, use the same part number. I think all the way up to 40hp. Did a F150 install on a bass boat a few weeks ago and it was also 3/8 hose-but no quick disconnect.
