30hp evinrude additions

Hey guys,

I have a 1986 30hp evinrude (E30RCDM) on my Fisher bass boat. I want to add a tach and be able to charge my battery since i just added electric start to the thing. Problem is i only have 4 wires coming out for my stator going directly to the ignition module. Can i just add the charging coil? (part# 0581670). For the tach, do i need this part? (part# 0583387) I know the "tiny tach" would be the easiest way out, but I'd really like to have a real tach.
