Does anyone know if a 1994 Mercury Tracker 40hp (4 cylinder 2 cycle) motor has a thermostat?
Also, if so where is it located?
I even removed the housing for the switch box and coils but could not locate the thermostat.
Any help will be appreciated.
 
FWIW I have a '97 Merc 4-cylinder 2-stroke and it uses an electrical thermal switch vs a coil spring-type thermostat. I also bought the Merc OEM service manual on-line for < $20 if I recall. You need the OB model number to pick the right one ...
