I have a 02 Tohatsu 9.8 hp 2-stroke. I don't like the nissan/tohatsu fuel connection and want to change it to the OMC connection. The problem i have is that I think that i am going to have to relocate the fuel connection. The factory connection went in next to where the throttle cables go in, and there is not enough space there for the OMC connection. I was thinking about moving it to the side of the motor where the tiller is. Do you think i will have any issues with the motor pushing and pulling the fuel line from the side of the motor as opposed to the front? I was wondering if anyone else has done this before. I have searched the internet high and low and have not found anything.

If the Nissan connector is like an air line coupler it is superior to the omc style connectors. Why does your motor have a hole with a loose hose running through it?
