My 1975-25HP Evinrude’s water intake is just above the prop facing backwards. Has anyone figured out a way to connect a hose to this type of input to flush the motor? My old Johnson had the intakes on the side of the lower unit and I used a muff made just for that purpose, however I have not found anything for my type of motor. I know I can put the motor in a large barrel, but that takes a lot of effort and that just recirculated the water. So I am looking for a commercial item to buy or an idea on how I can attach a hose to the water input of the motor.

Tempo Products used to make one, but I haven't seen one in years! Try eBay ...
I only find the muff style made by Tempo along with an antique metal one which still was for motors with the intakes on the sides of the lower unit.

I have found one type that hooks to the cavitation plate but they are specified for 15HP and under.
