Looking at getting a filter to put between my fixed tank and my outboard, I've always heard good things about Racor. Looks like their product is the Snapp filter. Anyone have experience with them?

Thanks

I have dealt a lot with Racor filters on the trucks I work on. They are very good in my experience with them. I have not dealt with the Snapp filter but I would expect it to be a very well built item being from Parker/Racor.

FWIW I equipped and/or use well over a dozen boats w/ Racor marine fuel/water separators ... but that's (their 'snap' feature) an expensive  way to go about it.

In larger boats I use the SS filter head from Surplus Unlimited from Miami and in smaller boats, I use the nylon head unit. Of which I can buy replacement cartridges for $20 or so, getting 2-years service out of them in the lower HP motors.
