i am new to boating, just bought a boat i cant for the life of me figure out why my mercury outboard will not tilt into the upright position. Any ideas?
I have a Mercury 9.9hp the same model year. It has to be placed in gear to tilt the motor upright. I'm not sure if the 15hp is the same, but maybe your problem is trying to tilt it upright in neutral.
