What instructions are supplied? Have you tried looking up instructions for this online?
Have purposely stayed away from Chrysler/Force products but this doesn't look too hard if instructions are found. They are normally easy to work on and pretty reliable engines when taken care of.
Usually the purpose of this seal arrangement is to seal the lower bearing housing to the driveshaft and keep grease in and water out.

in the future, I too will - purposely stay away from Chrysler/Force products

Thanks Pap - I finally got an answer back from the distributor
that I bought the parts from - they have no clue - they just sell parts.
They did send my issue to the mechanic that rebuilds motors for them . . .
BUT - After hours of diligent searching on the ole interweb, I think I
found the only living example of how that rubber piece fits. It is compressed down.
I just put the end of a box wrench on it and compressed it down. It only took about
maybe 3 or 4 pounds to compress it down. DONE!! I guess I put too much thought into the simple things.
Crappie season is right around the corner !!
Thanks !!!

Pap, my cousin lives there on the East side of Little Lake Harris..... he is the
Harris Chain Champ of Crappie (or so the legend goes in his mind).
I mainly fish on the Butler Chain in Windermere or Johns Lake in Clermont
and do quite well in the cooler weather just using live minnows on a crappie rig.
no expensive tackle required !!!
Search YouTube or https://www.crappie.com and her whole world will open up....
my brother just bought the biker bar - Little Lake Harris Pub.
and since I sold my Harley, stopped drinking, smoking and running around with skallywags,
it does not appeal to me much. But it is a really nice place to bike over for a
beer and BBQ on Saturdays.

Take the girl Crappie Fishing !!!!!!!! :fishing2:
