I have a 1987 Yamaha 9.9SH. Im going to rebuild my carb, but I was wondering if anyone knows if the 15hp carb is different than the 9.9 other than jetting and main nozzle? I figure while its apart I may as well change that stuff out too, unless the actual carb itself has a bigger intake. I already have the 15hp reed cage for it.

Just did one, though it was a 2006 model.

The 9.9 and 15 are identical motors, even down to the exhaust system and ignition, with ONE exception. The reed valve, or more specifically the stoppers. I have a pic somewhere of the one I did, and the difference is obvious.

Double check your year model, it might be different...
