My Nissan NS15B came stock with a #108 main carburetor jet which is rated for elevation at sea level.
I'm headed for a lake at 7500' elevation and need to re-jet for this.
Here is a list of the jets from Nissan and their associated elevation rating but they aren't all available any longer.
#108 0' Sea Level (Stock Size)
#107 1641'
#106 3281'
#104 4922'
#103 6562' (938' under target elevation of 7500')
#102 8203' (703' over target elevation of 7500')
#101 8859'
#100 9843'
Does anyone know if the dimension of a jet is built into the jet number?
In my case, would a #108 be a 1.08mm jet size?
If so, it appears I may need a #102 or #103 (not sure which one) and as long as the mounting thread size was the same, could any other manufacturer's jets be made to work?
