I recently bought another boat that came equipped with an 1979 20hp Mercury. On my first test run the motor gave me some issues, it starts good but will only start and throttle up in full choke. If I throttle all the way up and then take the choke off it will rev up ok then shut down within a few seconds. Any advice on how to correct the problem?
