I just winterized my motor and when I drained the gear case and I noted the fluid was pea green to almost fluorescent and thicker than I expected.. Problem is last year I filled it with Mystic JT4 and it is blue.
Motor is a 1967 Johnson 9.5 Hp.
I let the fluid stand and did not notice any water separation or shavings.
Is the color a cause of concern, or is this normal?
