Howdy All,

This 9.5 has been running like a scalded dog for almost 2 years. Recently I have had to slowly adjust the low speed mixture richer to keep a good idle. At this point making it richer is not solving the rough idle "cough" that causes the motor to shake.

Other than the idle the motor starts and runs very well. I'm hoping I can remove the mixture screw and shoot some carb cleaner in to get things cleaned up. However, even with the service manuals I can't figure out to to actually remove the low speed mixture screw. This is the old style that uses a flex cable to connect to the knob on the front panel.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks,
CMOS

I got her done last weekend. Running like a champ again.

After I pulled the low speed screw I was able to shoot carb cleaner into the passage. Added a fuel filter in the line and put her back together. Running smooth as ever.

Throw some Star Tron in the gas tank, the E10 Gas is not kind to Carburetor's.
