The skeg on my motor broke off right at the tip, and I was wondering if you guys think that grinding this flat and making it straight up and down would reduce any performance or affect anything. I wouldn't like to take it to get fixed if I don't have to. Wondering your guys opinion.



 
That Would be the angle, there are no chunks missing from the prop. It does need a good regrinding however, which I will be having done in the next couple weeks.
 
There is still enough skag there to perform good. If it doesn't bother you to look at it. You could get a Skag shield . Just remember the more Skag in the water the better it will turn and perform. And a whole lot better when in reverse.
