1995 Johnson 25, 30hp carb swap.

Just wondering if anybody happens to know if the 30HP carb swap can be done on my 1995 model? I've been searching for the past couple days reading threads about it.. looks like a common mod for 80's to early 90's models, and the early 2000's Evinrude 25 benifits as well.

I tried the 25hp to 35hp swap and never did get it to run right.
so I just gave up and went back to standard 25hp.
but then again, I am NOT mechanically inclined !! (which may have been part of the problem).

Outboards can definitely be finnicky to tune.. even for a mechanic if they aren't familiar with them.

Do a search. There are tons of pages and posts on this subject. Yes, it is doable and done often.

thanks for the tip but if you read the OP you will see I have been searching the subject for the past couple days already, so yes I know many have done it.. But I haven't found anything pertaining to the mid 90's years such as my 1995.
