I have 79 evinrude 25hp splined prop shaft. I was given a brand new prop without splined hub. I was wondering if I can press the brass hub out of my old prop and press it in the new one.
 
If you have the tools and everything fits, I don't see why not.

At the same time, though, I had a new hub pressed in years ago and it was very reasonable. Something like $40.00 or $50.00 as I recall. If your rubber hub is old, stiff or worn, I'dl let the pros do it if you can.
