hello my grip has worn/ rotted off. Can anyone tell me where to get a replacement? I've checked ebay and some other places online. I was wondering if I could shove a bicycle handlebar grip on there or something..

You might try braided flex. Home Depot sells different sizes about a foot long in the plumbing dept. I used it to extend the handle on my 30hp.

I wrap bicycle handlebar tape around the base. Many choices of colors and ya can wrap it any way ya like. And it floats!

Look into cold-shrink electrical tube. Or some of the kayak outfitters may have a heat-shrink grip used on paddles. The heat-shrink x-tube used for fishing rod handles is probably too small diameter.

I’m new to this forum thank you all for the help! I’ve got some options to try I’ll post a pic of the end result.

Might be a good time to learn how to do that Paracord Wrap that a lot of people like. Some pretty slick looking wraps on sailboat steering wheels, etc.
