OMC does't sell the transom clamp handles that always break, you have to buy it with the bolt and washer for $30-$40 each. Wonder if anyone has tried these as a replacement:

... for $6 you can’t go wrong, but I’ve help maintain a fleet of up to 20 small skiffs at my boat club (limit of 15hp) ... and I’ve never seen one break in my 45+ years there ...
 
That's a pretty good record. I've bought two Evinrudes in the last year and only one of those 4 handles was intact.
 
The only way I have ever seen them break was putting a cheater on them or with an aftermarket trim on them having them set too low and trimming them into something.
