If I counted the number of new or replacement tachs I ever installed, I bet it would be over 40 ... guessing 37 of them being Teleflex, 2 Faria and with only 1 original OB maker OEM installed (OMC). I bet you Teleflex or Faria makes the gauges for the OEM companies anyway ...

Simplest and probably the least expensive option is a Tiny Tach. It'll do both for you. I've even extended the wire on mine to get the tach on my dash with no issue. Good luck!
