I'm not a big fan of change, these days. Especially when corporate entities start eliminating valued products and companies. [-X

As a long time johnnyrude guy, I am saddened by the passing of the name. It feels like the end of an era. To be honest however, if I had all the money in the world to go buy a new outboard, it wouldn't have been an evinrude anyway. Since I don't have a money problem (as in having lots of it) I will continue to run my old johnnyrudes. I raise my measuring cup of 2 stroke oil in a toast to Ole Evinrude who started it all with the most successful early outboard!

Yeah, bummer for sure. It's generally not good for consumers when the manufactures have less competition to work against.
