Anybody? I went for the first time last weekend and had a blast. I got my arse kicked about 3 dozen times, but they dont hurt that bad. My buddy in the pic below is on some milsim/scenario team, and hes apparently really good. I was laughing at his gear at first, until he shot me in the face 3 times, and too many times to count elsewhere. It was awesome. We had a private group, so all the attitudes were in check, and it was a good family-oriented fun. I did see some of the open groups getting really pissed at each other, and cussing up a storm in front of the kids. Some people dont realize its just a game. Definitely gonna do it again soon. Guess Ill have to buy me a new toy....

Here is my piece of history. I used to play a lot. We did not have the kind of gear your friend has, but we made do. To start playing in our group you had to get shot in the butt point blank. Plus we had our guns turned up pretty high.

Used to be big into it (hence my screen name.. for anyone who is legitimately into it  ), but I out grew it. Had a nice smart parts impulse, custom milled by RAT factory here in MI before they went under. Had a lot of fun, but its way too expensive to play frequently.

I actually still have a 150 buck hopper in the basement I've been meaning to dig out and sell on ebay.. :LOL2:

Its funny you say that about outgrowing it.. I had the opportunity to play many times over the years, but I always thought it was a child's game. Running around in the woods shooting at each other...seemed stupid.

But now that life is so serious and I have a full load of patients every day, evals, military bearing, bills, and all the other BS that goes along with my job, I look for every opportunity I have to run around like a kid again. I think thats what got me about paintball... The fact that I can act like a complete **** idiot 11 year old and its all cool. It was kind of like a release for me.

BTW, I checked out some of the DYE gear, and holy smokes!!! Too rich for my blood!!! Id have to give up fishing, and paintball aint that fun. I was looking at getting a pretty simple Tippmann.. I feel weird admiting this, but I kinda like the woodsball more than the speedball.

But anyway, I guess what Im trying tho say is the older I get, the more I wanna act like a idiot. If this disease keeps progressing, Im gonna get in trouble!!

I know how that is. I used to travel around the country playing in NPPL, PSP, and X-ball tournaments. Even with our teams limited sponsorship it was still expensive. Then I got tired of the BS within the team. I still go play from time to time.
